Temple of Light Meditation

Sitting comfortably, let us take our souls to a beautiful, sun-lit beach and call the dolphins. Let them carry us through the clear blue water, with their playful, loving energy, far, far from our familiar surroundings, washing away all our worries, fears and seriousness, so that when they set us down at a set of steps leading out of the water, we are as children, attentive, excited and open to receive.

We climb the seven steps and find ourselves in a vast temple, though it is hard to say whether the columns we pass through are of stone or of light. We feel drawn by loving, guiding hands to the couch in the centre of the temple, where we lie stretched out and relaxed. As we look up, we feel-see loving, creative energy pouring into us, transforming us, energy from the same sources which created our form when we first came to Earth.

When we have fully reconnected with our Divine Source, we leave the couch, give thanks, and are guided through other columns to an exquisitely beautiful stretch of countryside, with colours more vibrant than anything we can remember. The birds, animal, plants, insects are all joyful and harmonious. There is a river with inviting, crystal-clear water, moss covered boulders, where we can bring beloveds for forgiveness rituals in the waterfalls, which are creating magnificent rainbows.

We are guided back through the temple down the steps to the waiting dolphins who take us to an area where rainbow colours are playing on the water. They let us spend time enjoying whatever colours we feel drawn to, before returning to the sun-lit, sandy shore we started from. Again we give thanks.

Let us now return to our comfortably seated bodies in this room, knowing that we can return to the temple and garden for healing whenever we feel less than fully balanced and alive.
